Bacon-Wrapped Wheat Crackers

This recipe is featured in the 2020 Holiday Cuisine and Cocktail Recipe Guide made in collaboration with Barry Johnson of Bartender Barry.

When it comes to entertaining, less is always more, and after many dinner parties and gatherings, one pro-tip I often offer is to choose appetizers with minimal ingredients, that are easy and quick to put together, and at the same time make a big impact. The recipe for this appetizer is simple. It involves wrapping thinly cut slices of hickory smoked bacon around whole wheat crackers. To take this dish to the next level, add a little brown sugar or green onions to add an extra layer of flavor. The best part is that prepping this dish takes less than ten minutes, and cooks on low in the oven for just an hour. Trust me, it’s a savory and sweet match made in heaven.

To make these delectable bites extra special, you can serve them with my Baked Brie with Berries and Walnuts or serve them cocktail style with Bartender Barry’s, Thy Cup Runneth Over cocktail.
